ORCA™ Navy

Developed in direct cooperation with defence customers, ORCA™ Navy is professional navigation software that is designed to support the display of additional military layers (NATO STANAG 4564) and other required tactical information where it is simply not practical to install a full WECDIS or tactical display system.

Orca™ Navy is typically used for small military craft, such as fast patrol boats and landing craft where a full WECDIS installation is not practical or appropriate, yet their is still a need to display tactical data (such as AMLs) alongside standard navigational charts and publications.

Orca™ Navy is also used in existing large naval vessels where a WECDIS or Tactical Display System has not yet been fitted.
 

• Contour Line Bathymetry (CLB) – simple depth information as points, lines and areas.
• Environment Seabed and Beach (ESB) – features for amphibious operations including significant objects such as lights and landmarks.
• Large Bottom Objects (LBO) – all known bottom contacts for which at least one component of height, width or length is a minimum of five metres.
• Marine Foundations and Facilities (MFF) – information about coastline and boundaries including miscellaneous tactical information together with major lights, buoys and other significant objects.
• Routes, Areas and Limits (RAL) – for example, selected aeronautical information to conduct marine operations and land-based information, marine management areas, restricted areas such as historic wrecks or offshore safety zones and Q-Routes, etc.
• Small Bottom Objects (SBO) – all known bottom contacts of which the greatest dimension is less than five metres.

256 MB or better RAM
500 MB or better free HDD capacity
1024 x 768 screen display
