Teledyne SevenCs rebrand signals a new chapter, combining 30 years of charting expertise with global strength to advance S-100 and future navigation standards.

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated today announced that SevenCs, its Hamburg-based maritime charting software business, will market its products and solutions under the brand Teledyne SevenCs. The rebrand aligns the business with Teledyne's broader marine group and signals a new chapter for one of the industry's most respected names in electronic navigation chart technology.
Founded in Hamburg more than 30 years ago, SevenCs has built an unrivalled reputation for technical depth and standards expertise across its maritime SDK products, ENC production tools, and nautical chart distribution solutions. The transition to Teledyne SevenCs brings that heritage into closer alignment with the resources and global reach of Teledyne's marine portfolio, strengthening the business's ability to serve OEM navigation developers, hydrographic offices, and maritime software integrators around the world.
"The SevenCs name has stood for precision, reliability, and deep technical knowledge in maritime charting for over three decades," said Stephan Dimke, General Manager at Teledyne SevenCs. "Operating as Teledyne SevenCs gives us the opportunity to build on that foundation with even greater confidence. Our customers can expect the same level of expertise and commitment they have always received from us, now supported by the breadth and capability of the wider Teledyne organisation."
The rebrand comes at a pivotal moment for the maritime charting industry, as the sector prepares for the transition to the S-100 universal hydrographic data model and the next generation of ECDIS standards. Teledyne SevenCs is actively engaged in that transition, with products including the Nautilus Maritime Software Kernel and the S-100 Data Management System already positioning customers for the new standards ahead.
Teledyne SevenCs will continue to be headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, operating as SevenCs GmbH with its full team of specialists remaining in place to support customers across software support, training, and consultancy services.
