Teledyne SevenCs has channelled significant resources into building up the expertise to be the partner of choice for the shipping sector’s switch to S-100.
Leveraging our major role in getting IHO S-57 to market acceptance, SevenCs’ contribution to structuring and refining the S-100 standard gives it a formidable S-100 knowledge base to offer our customers.
Since 1992, we have given top-calibre product support to software developers. SevenCs’ client base of several hundred OEM customers underpins our in-depth understanding of the new, S-100 data framework.
A SevenCs team of developers of S-100-compliant products is specifically dedicated to maintaining and evolving our strength-in-depth on S-100. SevenCs’ S-100-based Nautilus Software Development Kit (SDK) has been skilfully crafted to enable our existing client base and new clients to gain the full benefits of S-100 rich data.
Teledyne SevenCs can be your entry point for a strategic partnership with Teledyne, meeting all your S-100 navigational needs. The Teledyne Group product program for navigation ranges from production and validation of electronic charts to S-100 data management, an S-100 compliant ECDIS, and route-optimization software. Teledyne CARIS serves customers producing all kinds of S-100 products. We are your qualified partner for the S-100 journey, from individual products to wide-ranging navigation solutions.

The IHO’s S-100 data model was launched in 2010, as a framework for achieving interoperability of navigation data by replacing the IHO S-57 data-exchange format, used by electronic navigational charts (ENCs) since the 1990s.
In 2025, Teledyne SevenCs’ role at the cutting-edge of S-100 research was highlighted by the testing of SevenCs’ S-100 software in the ECDIS of our Teledyne Group sister company, Raymarine Commercial.
In-situ tests of SevenCs’ software have formed part of the programme of S-100 sea trials, begun in August 2025 and run by the UK’s and France’s hydrographic offices (UKHO and SHOM), on the vessel Stena Vinga.
Also in 2025, dynamic visual images in a UKHO webinar showed cutting-edge SevenCs software, integrating constantly changing Safety Contour data, by combining three key products from S-100’s Phase 1:
